Who We Are
We are members of Rotary international, working voluntarily to bring about awareness about addictions in our society and strive to bring about behavioural change in the society, reduce the percentage of addictions and facilitate the treatment and rehabilitation. At present there are over 1.2 million Rotarians world wide in over 200 countries. In India we have 150,000 Rotarians. We want to spread the knowledge about the ill effects of Addiction on physical social and emotional health of individuals. This initiative to raise the overall awareness about addiction.
Suggested projects for the Clubs and District
We can encourage individual clubs in your district to carry out following Projects:
Lorem Ipsum
Conducting Parent Teacher meetings in schools and spread awareness of the problem in schools. Target: 8,9,10th Standard students, with the power point presentations ( we shall make it available to all of you soon)
Sed ut perspiciatis
Distributing pamphlets about addiction problem and their remedies, in schools and colleges.
Magni Dolores
Organization of awareness camps in conjunction with other health camps for spreading the awareness about addiction in the community.
Nemo Enim
Targeting happy school and happy village programs already running in the Rotary clubs. We shall introduce addiction prevention awareness in these projects.

Rotary awareness rally in schools / junior colleges for spreading the message of addiction prevention. 26th June is “ SAY NO TO DRUGS DAY” celebrated world wide. We can arrange Celebration events in individual schools on that day.

Elocution competitions: A day without mobile phone, Drugs and today’s youth, Safe surfing, Say NO to Nicotine etc.
